Nicki Minaj has taken the lead in the most-out-there-celebrity race as she rises to 4th most searched Halloween costume this year! The Super Bass hottie is only just behind the classic Playboy Bunny, Natile Portman’s Black Swan and the ever-popular iPhone phenomena Angry Birds (I’m imagining big red foam suits and glued on feathers, how about you?). Nicki took the MTV awards by a storm with her amazing outfit inspired by Japanese street fashion with designs by Shojono Tomo & Amato Haute Couture and accessories by Onch Movement & Fifi & Romeo.
While we all know Japanese street fashion is no costume – who can blame anyone for wanting an excuse to dress like this? Nicki is giving off a definite 6%Dokidoki vibe with her bright hair, tulle skirt and layering. Her amazing necklace is from the funky LA Designer Onch who has a variety of amazing accessories from bacon-strip bracelets to Warhol inspired banana necklaces.
Nicki’s socks and ‘Witch-Kitty’ plushie are by Tokyo-based artist and designer Shojono Tomo. Her wacky creations really make the outfit pop! Tomo’s work spans from illustration to comics to fashion to music and she is unsurprisingly rising to fame in the global market.

Today was the local fair, which meant chocolate strawberries, snow-cones, cup-cakes and cute girls. The local lolitas just looked so cute I had to share them with you! How adorable are Kate and Nicole wearing sweet and country lolita?
I just love Kate’s hair and Nicole’s bonnet ♥ Below you can see a close up of Kate’s 6%Dokidoki Glitter Milky-Way clip bought from Electric Alice! We still have a few of the metallic versions left in Hot Pink so don’t miss out!
There were so many lovely creations at the fair, these funky crochet monsters caught my eye, aren’t they cute?
And so much yummy food to choose between – these cup-cakes were scrumdiddlyumptious!
