Filed under: Artists, Fairy Kei, Outfit Ideas, Outfit Snap, Pop Kei, review — Pie @ 7:01 pm

Hi Everyone! Pie here ★彡

Recently I recieved a package full of goodies from my darling friend Lila of Cute Can Kill! You’ve probably seen the CCK logo around our site as we are affiliates ☆ Lila makes all sorts of adorable accessories inspired by the 80s and Fairy Kei, aiming for her customers to be ‘killed by cuteness’.

The package I received was full of so many amazing things so I’m really excited to share with you all! Here’s a photo of the contents:

As you can see, she included some earrings, rings, necklaces and a really cute bat brooch! The matching bat necklace is something I had requested and it is even better in person! All of Lila’s work is really well made and finished. I am so happy with everything! ( =①ω①=)

Here are some photos of the pieces worn!

You can find Cute Can Kill at their Website, Facebook or Twitter!

xx Pie ☆彡

Style icon: Kurebayashi!

Filed under: Electro/Rave Kei, Pop Kei — Imogen @ 12:48 pm

Have you met 紅林大空 • Kurebayashi Haruka yet? Known simply as Kurebayashi, she’s become a popular Kera model, illustrator and fashion icon with a really cute, upbeat outlook on life!

At the moment she’s experimenting with frizzy bleach blonde hair extensions, but she’s had practically every hair colour under the sun – usually in a cute bob or pixie cut! She often pairs this with dolly eye make-up, platform sneakers and pink, blue or yellow-themed clothing and accessories from 6% Doki Doki, Superlovers, Galaxxy, Monomania and more. She also loves animals and animal print. She sometimes even pins soft toys on to her sneakers or hair, and even uses a stuffed animal-shaped bag! You can check out more outfits on her blog, here.

She loves mixing bright colours and wacky accessories to make adorably offbeat outfits, usually with her friends Kuma Miki and Junnyan. Here’s a goofy picture of her with Junnyan (below)  snapped by our favourite Harajuku resource Tokyofashion.com!

Best of all, Kurebayashi isn’t afriad to accessorise with her snaggle-toothed smile. Actually in Japan, if you have teeth that stick out a bit – especially the “canine” teeth or “fangs” – they’re considered SUPER cute. They call this “yaeba” (やえば)meaning “double tooth” and some girls even undergo surgical procedures to achieve the look! *_* So  if (like me) you’re worried about your snaggle-tooth, stop worrying, cos they’re officially kawaii. ^_^

In Kera magazine she models all kind of styles, even Lolita! It’s almost hard to recognise her on the left there, with the blonde wig and blue Angelic Pretty dress. What a doll! ^_^

So of course, we have to finish off any style icon post with ideas on how you can achieve this look for yourself! All of these items are in store RIGHT NOW, with the exception of the Doki Doki dress and the sneakers. All you’d need to complete this look is a big furry jacket or printed zip-up hoodie!

As always, if you’d like us to import some more Doki Doki dresses or run another pre-order please let us know! We know many of you have been hanging out for their accessories, so give us a head’s up on the clothing too! ^_^ /

All Milk stock is now further reduced and is now up to 60% off!

Pink, black and blue… it’s cotton candy with a rotten tooth! xD
Or Little Twin Stars and their evil second cousin!
Whatever it is, we’re seeing it a LOT!

The first thing that comes to mind is our classic ‘Confetti Hearts’ skirts by iconic Harajuku brand Milkbecause now our range is up to 60% off!!! *_* Originally $199, they’re now just $69! What’s more, they’re made from gorgeous soft silk custom-printed with an original Milk heart-print design, which is the sort of thing that goes with EVERYTHING. Case in point: Look how perfectly they match with these new items in store now!

Why not try pairing the blue one with the new Princess Polka-dot Cardigan by Dearly and a picture perfect Pomeranian necklace? (Try saying that three times fast!) Or if you’re a pink girl, why not co-ordinate the pink one with the new baby blue Sailor Cutsew that has a handy removable bow you could clip in your hair or on your bag. (Or your pet pomeranian!) Plus, we still have the ever-popular 6% Doki Doki ‘Milky Way’ clips in stock in light and hot pink! Grab one while you still can! <3

The black skirt looks great with a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses and our matching Glitter Heart Drop necklace by 6% Doki Doki. You could go sweet ‘n school-girl-ish like these co-ordinates, or rough it up with a leather jacket and red tea party shoes. As long as you’ve got your kitty whiskers on, no one’s going to stop you! ^_~

Twinkle, twinkle, pastel stars…

Filed under: Fairy Kei, Moru Girl, New Product/s, Pop Kei — Imogen @ 4:56 pm

Today’s style icon is Kumamiki, photographed for TokyoFashion.com, the gorgeous pastel-coloured Harajuku fashion designer! She has created her own fairy-kei label, Party Baby. (In fact, we were recently asked if we’d stock her creations, so let us know if you like them!) But what we’re excited about right now is how cute she looks in the pastel-perfect ‘Wish on a Shooting Star’ necklace that ONLY we have in stock, right now! Doesn’t it look perfect with her pastel rainbow hair and carefully layered tulle tops and dresses? *_*

But here’s our favourite part of the outfit:

The ‘moru girl’ hair clip frenzy! There’s definitely a stars and ribbons theme going on to match the necklace – and what could be more perfect to recreate this look than with our Sweet Star clips? Not only do they perfectly match the ‘Wish on a Shooting Star’ necklace, but their flexible, flat clip design is the best and most comfortable way to get that ’scattered clips’ look in your hairstyle – which works best in an up do.

Let’s see how Yuka and Vani from 6% Doki Doki get their stars on…

Together with some Star Studs earrings and everybody’s all-time favourite Sugary Milky Way Clip (in pink), you’ve got the perfect pastel princess collection!
