Pomeranians Please!

A new addition to the webstore is Squeaky Toybox! A cute character brand based in Australia, designed and illustrated by Kirsten Rayner. We’ve started by stocking some of her adorable neckaces – and our particular favourites are Pot and Pan the Pomeranian twins!

Pot is the cream-coloured Pomeranian and Pan is chocolate. “Pot on her own tends to be the more quiet one of the pair and is usually shy when you first meet her. Her most cherished possession is her stuffed teddy bear. Pan is very mischievous and loves to do the things puppies usually do like ripping through your sock drawer and playing fetch. He also likes Pot very much.”

Here’s some photos of Pan’s character necklace in action, modelled here by our fuzzy rabbit friend!

And here’s some exclusive live footage of Pot exploring a room in Japan!

Click here to shop the new Squeaky Toybox necklaces! We’ll be getting in more in soon, so stay tuned!

Valentine’s is for pink!

Filed under: Lolita, Outfit Ideas, Princess / Himé — Imogen @ 3:34 pm

Valentine’s Day is coming up… but don’t worry if you’re single, unromantic or just not a fan of the whole thing, because we think Valentine’s Day is more of a celebration of all things pink, sweet and cute! (I know, I know, we think that about pretty much everything… but hey, that’s why we’re here!)

Want to try celebrating V-Day, EA styles?

You could start by indulging in dusted strawberry truffles from Charbonnel et Walker, cracking some pink champagne or a relaxing with a berry-scented face mask. You could even get the girls over for a pink-themed nail salon party – or brew some of T2’s strawberry cream tea to drink with raspberry macarons!

Then deck yourself head-to-toe in… you guessed it! PINK! If you’re a little lacking in the pink department, don’t be shy – there’s loads of stuff in-store. Including these two perfect heart print skirts by iconic Japanese label Milk. (And they’re on sale too!)

So are you a Valentine’s Girl? Hate it? Love it?

What will you do for Valentine’s Day? Hit us up in the comments or on our Facebook page!

Twinkle, twinkle, pastel stars…

Filed under: Fairy Kei, Moru Girl, New Product/s, Pop Kei — Imogen @ 4:56 pm

Today’s style icon is Kumamiki, photographed for TokyoFashion.com, the gorgeous pastel-coloured Harajuku fashion designer! She has created her own fairy-kei label, Party Baby. (In fact, we were recently asked if we’d stock her creations, so let us know if you like them!) But what we’re excited about right now is how cute she looks in the pastel-perfect ‘Wish on a Shooting Star’ necklace that ONLY we have in stock, right now! Doesn’t it look perfect with her pastel rainbow hair and carefully layered tulle tops and dresses? *_*

But here’s our favourite part of the outfit:

The ‘moru girl’ hair clip frenzy! There’s definitely a stars and ribbons theme going on to match the necklace – and what could be more perfect to recreate this look than with our Sweet Star clips? Not only do they perfectly match the ‘Wish on a Shooting Star’ necklace, but their flexible, flat clip design is the best and most comfortable way to get that ’scattered clips’ look in your hairstyle – which works best in an up do.

Let’s see how Yuka and Vani from 6% Doki Doki get their stars on…

Together with some Star Studs earrings and everybody’s all-time favourite Sugary Milky Way Clip (in pink), you’ve got the perfect pastel princess collection!

There’s nothing I love more than cute toys and cute accessories, so receiving a package full of such from Kim of Oborocharms this week made me more than happy. Kim’s characters are cute an original, I especially love her octofruits! So adorable!

The name says it all ☆彡 kawaiigoods.com

Filed under: Fairy Kei, Pop Kei, review — Pie @ 4:39 pm

On Thursday I came home to a package of goodies from the adorable online shop kawaiigoods.com ♡ I was really happy to see Claudia had included the darling Sweetie Dreams Unicorn Tee and some cute 2-way clips! Check out the photos below!

This Cookie Star 2-way clip is just the cutest for fairy-kei or OTT sweet lolita, all of the colours really pop!

The kawaiigoods.com brooch I received is really cute too (⌒▽⌒)☆

My favourite of the package was this balloon 2-way clip, isn’t it just adorable? It really reminds me of Nile Perch accessories and I would say the quality is equal too.

I really enjoyed coordinating Claudia’s OTT creations as they are just so colourful and fun! In these photos I’m wearing a Sweet Soul Shop wig and Chocomint accessories from Electric Alice  ♡

We’ll be back with some great updates soon, but for now, why not check out the giveaway we’re having on our facebook page? It’s super easy to enter and there are great pizes up for grabs!

Everyone else receives a 15% off  voucher for their next purchase! Hooray!! Congrats guys, we will be emailing you your special discount codes in the next couple of days.

And now, we’d like to announce the winner of the Electric Alice Choice Award!

The winner of this award was selected by a panel of Electric Alice staff, contributors and models, who were looking for a cute and creative entry. We have to say, it was a terribly tricky decision- there were creative use of colours in coordinates, cute collages, handmade dresses and heartwarming stories of kawaii inspiration abound. Not to mention the fact that EVERYONE was just too cute!! After much deliberation, we have decided to award the Electric Alice Choice prize to…

Victoria!

“My kawaii inspiration is Heri from Grimoire. She has always been my favourite! Her outfits from various street snaps and the Grimoire blog entries are also one of the things that made me want to try this fashion out. To me, she is simply the perfect Dolly.”

We felt Victoria put an interesting spin on the concept of Kawaii with her Dolly Kei coordinate. It’s really hard to pull off a Grimoire outfit, and Victoria’s done so with style! We also thought she put a lot of effort into her entry with the super cute collage. Congratulations, you’ll be receiving $75 worth of Electric Alice goodies in  the mail soon!

And the winner of the voting contest is…..

Pastelbat!

“Greetings we are kyaryians our beloved kawaii princess have gone missing. Have you seen her?
—————-
My kawaii inspiration is kyary. Her quirky style inspires me she combines cute with creepy like no other person i have seen and the outcome is fantastic every time!”

Congratulations Pastelbat, you will be receiving an Electric Alice coordinate worth $150 in the mail!

Well, guys this contest was lots of fun! We’d love to run another in the near future, so if you have any suggestions comment below or send us an email to enquiry@electricalice.com!

Happy New Year everyone! Don’t forget our Lucky Packs!!
