The name says it all ☆彡 kawaiigoods.com

Filed under: Fairy Kei, Pop Kei, review — Pie @ 4:39 pm

On Thursday I came home to a package of goodies from the adorable online shop kawaiigoods.com ♡ I was really happy to see Claudia had included the darling Sweetie Dreams Unicorn Tee and some cute 2-way clips! Check out the photos below!

This Cookie Star 2-way clip is just the cutest for fairy-kei or OTT sweet lolita, all of the colours really pop!

The kawaiigoods.com brooch I received is really cute too (⌒▽⌒)☆

My favourite of the package was this balloon 2-way clip, isn’t it just adorable? It really reminds me of Nile Perch accessories and I would say the quality is equal too.

I really enjoyed coordinating Claudia’s OTT creations as they are just so colourful and fun! In these photos I’m wearing a Sweet Soul Shop wig and Chocomint accessories from Electric Alice  ♡

We’ll be back with some great updates soon, but for now, why not check out the giveaway we’re having on our facebook page? It’s super easy to enter and there are great pizes up for grabs!

Everyone who entered our contest will receive a discount voucher to be used in the Electric Alice store!

The runner up in the voting contest will receive a 30% off discount voucher, and the lucky duck who comes third will receive a 20% off voucher! Everyone else receives a 15% off  voucher for their next purchase! Hooray!! Congrats guys, we will be emailing you your special discount codes in the next couple of days.

And now, we’d like to announce the winner of the Electric Alice Choice Award!

The winner of this award was selected by a panel of Electric Alice staff, contributors and models, who were looking for a cute and creative entry. We have to say, it was a terribly tricky decision- there were creative use of colours in coordinates, cute collages, handmade dresses and heartwarming stories of kawaii inspiration abound. Not to mention the fact that EVERYONE was just too cute!! After much deliberation, we have decided to award the Electric Alice Choice prize to…

Victoria!

“My kawaii inspiration is Heri from Grimoire. She has always been my favourite! Her outfits from various street snaps and the Grimoire blog entries are also one of the things that made me want to try this fashion out. To me, she is simply the perfect Dolly.”

We felt Victoria put an interesting spin on the concept of Kawaii with her Dolly Kei coordinate. It’s really hard to pull off a Grimoire outfit, and Victoria’s done so with style! We also thought she put a lot of effort into her entry with the super cute collage. Congratulations, you’ll be receiving $75 worth of Electric Alice goodies in  the mail soon!

And the winner of the voting contest is…..

Pastelbat!

“Greetings we are kyaryians our beloved kawaii princess have gone missing. Have you seen her?
—————-
My kawaii inspiration is kyary. Her quirky style inspires me she combines cute with creepy like no other person i have seen and the outcome is fantastic every time!”

Congratulations Pastelbat, you will be receiving an Electric Alice coordinate worth $150 in the mail!

Well, guys this contest was lots of fun! We’d love to run another in the near future, so if you have any suggestions comment below or send us an email to enquiry@electricalice.com!

Getting Kawaii in Hawaii ♡

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pie @ 10:20 pm

Aloha lovelies! Pie here, reporting from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii!

I’ve been having an awesome time shopping in Waikiki and watching surfers risk their necks at Pipeline but one thing struck me – what’s the best way to look both Kawaii and Hawaii? Last Summer Meg blogged about staying cute in the crazy heat, something that will be really important to those of us living in the Southern Hemisphere and lower Northern Hemisphere in the upcoming months! So today I’m going to talk about looking your Summer-time-best ♡

You can never have too much colour when it comes to the beach and, personally, I love cute, colourful sun-dresses! I have found myself wearing them almost every day as they are so easy to slip on over your bathers.

Match one of these with your favourite  jelly sandals, colourful accessories and a cute hair-style and you’re set to go! I love 6%Dokidoki’s Twinkle Heart Rings and Glitter Heart Necklaces

Here’s my shot at a Kawaii beach style, I’m wearing the DelilaH Heels ‘n’ Squeels Dress in Pink ♡ it’s so comfortable and perfect for any occasion!

And where’s a girl without her Aloha State, McLovin’ ID?

Stay cute and watch out for Electric Alice updates coming very soon! Also, if you haven’t already, why not vote in our Kawaii Style competition happening at the Electric Alice Facebook page? To vote, all you have to do it ‘like’ your favourite entry! ♡

Happy Gals have more fun!

Filed under: Gyaru, Outfit Ideas — Imogen @ 5:31 pm

Time to get your Gal on! ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノ The thing we love the most about Gal style is how simple it really is to put together. All you really need is a cute dress, a few princess accessories and a great big smile on your face! It’s all in your attitude. Some fashion styles are about looking creepy or doll-like or seriously glam, but Gal is about looking happy and having fun.

Just a simple dress and a necklace are all it takes to pull off this gorgeous, mint-themed look! かわいい!

And if you really want to go for broke, curl and tease up those tresses and try out a cutesy “dekame” (デカ目 • big eyes) make-up tutorial! We recommend Sayo-chan’s tutorial over at the Cutie☆Channel. The translations are a little bit Engrish-y but the videos are shot in crystal clear HD video so it’s easy to see exactly what she’s doing – plus there’s no fast-forwarding, so you don’t have to guess what’s going on in between. Sayopi even does one eye at a time, so you can compare the amazing effect!

And of course, it wouldn’t be a complete post if we didn’t recommend some of our gorgeous Gal stuff still in stock! Why don’t you treat yourself for Christmas? (。◕‿~。)
